Crossfire

Ranged units may shoot at opponent’s miniatures engaged in close combat with allied miniatures or base-to-base with their own miniatures (yes, it happens more than you’d think). However, each missed shot results in a hit on the “cover” miniature.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Ranged Attacker
For the Ranged Attacker, each Aggressiveness (A) d6 roll or Defence (D) d6 roll that meets or exceeds their Aggressiveness (A+) value (if in Aggressive Mode) or Defence (D+) value (if in Defensive Mode) is a Success. Anything less is a miss. The Attacker will leave any miss dice that have been rolled on the table.

      > (13) KEEP IN MIND!These dice need to be rolled in order to be able to Crossfire rule. So instant 1! are not failed roll dice, therefore, can not be rerolled in order to injure the “cover” miniature.

  2. The Defender then performs their reaction
  3. After the combat
      - The Attacker will roll d6 for each failed dice on their first roll.
      - Each d6 that hits or exceeds its second value (A+) is a success, and each success now counts as an instant wound to the miniature in front of the target, ally or opponent, if is in LOS of the Attacker.

      > (14) KEEP IN MIND!This rule also applies if you’re targeting an opponent’s miniature positioned behind another opponent’s miniature!

      - If multiple miniatures are base-to-base with the target, the hits go to the miniature closest to the shooter.
